Quality and Features
Reviewers praised the jacket's quality and features. The lightweight, breathable, and waterproof fabric was a hit among users. The Pertex membrane was noted for its eco-friendly production process, although some questioned its long-term durability compared to Gore-Tex. Pit zips were appreciated for ventilation during hikes. Some reviewers mentioned minor issues like noisy fabric and zippers that can get stuck.

Hood and Collar
The hood and collar design received mixed reviews. Some users found the hood to be oversized for general use, as it is designed to accommodate helmets. The high collar was also a point of contention, with some reviewers finding it too high and uncomfortable when zipped up. A few reviewers mentioned issues with the hood roll tab design, suggesting there could be a better way to implement it.

n process also involves less problematic chemicals (including fluocardbon-based or so-called ‘forever’ chemicals), if I am not mistaken. It is also more affordable than Gore-Tex. The Patagonia Torrentshell 3 Layer Jacket has similar features, but it is heavier and stiffer in comparison.
I don’t understand why other people complained about the fit. I am a tall 6’3” guy and the ‘L’ fit perfectly. The shoulder, chest and waist sections are large enough and the sleeves were long enough. I often hesitate between the ‘M’ and ‘L’ size because the sleeves are too short on ‘M’ size jackets while the chest and waist are too large on the ‘L’ size. This was the case with the Patagonia Torrentshell 3 that seems tailored for people with a large belly, at least in the ‘L’ size. This is the main reason — colors left aside — that I preferred Rab’s jacket. Read LessRead less about I like Rab products in general and I
