Extremely light and comfortable, brim is a touch large so if low on your head it can be a touch impairing but overall nice hat for sunny weather

Arcteryx Sinsolo

First thing you&#x27;ll notice is how lightweight and soft the material is. Although the brim is a thicker material to maintain its shape, the upper crown area is a super thin/soft material that is so light that it seems to weigh almost nothing. I like to wear my hats loose rather than tight, so the L/XL works well for me.

The look is very minimal which I like, and Arcteryx as usual has interesting mixtures of colors, in this case Dark Immersion, which looks like a blend of shades of grey, blue and green, and in real life is generally a little darker than the image online which is under very bright lighting.

Being so thin and light also makes this hat very packable, easily folded like a crepe or rolled up and tucked away, even into a pocket.

As usual, Arcteryx workmanship is top notch, with the stitching etc very neat and tidy, all seams sealed and even, nothing that I feel could be improved there.

One con I can find is there isn&#x27;t a chin cord or at least somewhere you could optionally attach one. Having a couple loops for that would go a long way in ensuring the hat is secure when its windy. It&#x27;s a nice hat so you don&#x27;t want to lose it just because it blows off.

Secondly it would be great if the brim were just a little wider, especially for the back and sides. At 7cm (2.75&quot;) this is definitely one of the shorter brims out there with most others being about 3.25&quot; or more. It mainly helps cover your ears, forehead, and top back of your neck and largely relies on the way it droops down to provide coverage. Coverage is adequate if the sun is almost directly above you, but otherwise I&#x27;d say this is more of a city hat in terms of coverage and style, as opposed to one you&#x27;d use when under a lot of direct sunlight like while on a boat or other conditions where there isn&#x27;t any shade.

Finally, because the material is so soft and delicate, I&#x27;m not sure how well it would hold up in rough use, nor how easy it would be to clean if you got mud, sunscreen, BBQ sauces or smoke on it.

Overall a very good hat which balances style with functionality, is really light, and packable, however I would go with something more rugged with a larger brim for any long outdoor activity in direct sunlight.
