I live it! Hass lots of room and easy to organize my things inside. It&#x27;s easy to find and take out my things too from the bag.

Good for traveling and long hikes

Use this bag almost daily for a year in a wet environment. Pros: Get a lot of compliments about it, classic and sleek. Good quality materials. Mostly* water resistant for main compartment. Spacious, handles are big and on every side. Straps are comfortable and wider than most. The ballistic nylon is like that of luggage so it looks classy. Main compartment opens where your back when worn as a backpack so it&#x27;s mostly* theft proof. Cons: When carrying as a backpack, there is a hard piece on the bottom of the bag that can dig in to your back when the bag is full. It appears the handle is sewn into the hard material that is underneath the nylon, and isn&#x27;t used to support the weight of the contents, so suggestion, North Face should use a different material or remove it. I exchanged the first bag for another and same issue. I check 2 other bags on the rack and same issue. The fifth bag is fine and they exchanged it. Next, the pocket that is right at the north face logo has a couple of issues. The ripstop nylon used for the bottom of the duffel is good for tossing onto rough or muddy terrain, but the zippered pocket makes the contents exposed to the elements. Also, given that the main compartment opens where your back would be in backpack configuration, most of your contents aren&#x27;t exposed to thieves, which is a pro, but the pocket at the North Face logo, which on the website shows they put the passport in, is very exposed to thieves. Suggestion, North Face should eliminate the pocket at the North Face logo so the bag is good for extreme environments, and theft proof. Another issue is the lack of pockets. There are only 2, other than the main compartment. This is a backpack/duffel, so there should be more organization. Suggestion, some web pockets inside the sides, and smaller grab pockets for cell phone on the sides (so its not on the ripstop portion, and still theft proof). The lid for the main compartment is on your back, which is theft proof a pro, but doesn&#x27;t have enough support if you have odd shaped equipment in the bag. I put a notebook to give it some form. This is a very nice bag but can be stellar if the suggestions are taken. I would buy another if North Face fixes these issues. I recommend this buy.
