<p>The Men's BALHAM Insulated Jacket by The North Face is a breathable, waterproof top that packs warming insulation for varied use. The DryVent shell is double-layered waterproof and has a Durable Water Repellent treatment. The lining also has a DWR treatment. 550 fill power grey goose down keeps things warm and is Responsible Down Standard certified.  The hood has synthetic insulation - warm even if wet. A snap front closure hides the front zip. Secure-zip alpine hand pockets and an inner zip storage pocket round out the Balham.</p>

I bought it for my winter expeditions. This is one solid high quality jacket. Feels very warm. But definitely it runs large so whatever is your size buy one size smaller and you are good to go.

Very Warm Jacket

This coat keeps you very warm on extremely cold and snowy days. Down fill and interior design are great.

Awesome Winter Jacket

It is considerably lighter than the McMurdo and feels a bit lighter than the Gotham. But even though it is lighter it still has great heat retention and the warm air definitely feels trapped inside this jacket when zipped up. Not as heavy duty as those two but great for city and light outdoor use. You will need to go a size down most likely
