Bought these on spec looking for pants to lounge around house during the cooler months. When I got them I was a bit surprised that they were lighter and larger than I thought. They seem to run big though I checked the size chart. After wearing them a bit I find them really comfortable. Very light but warm enough. A lot less bulky than sweatpants.

These pants look good, and are very comfortable and very light - they would be great on a hot summer day (I bought these in mid-Oct). tag affixed to the pants state that the main body is 86% polyester with no merino, and the 'lining' is 56% merino. There is very little merino wool overall - there are 2 small 'lining' patches between the thighs, and I think the pockets and waistband also have some merino (not sure about this though).
So, if you are looking for merino wool pants, these are not it. But, they are very comfortable and super light - I'll keep them because of that. Still, they're expensive for mostly polyester lightweight pants.
As for sizing - this style of pants are supposed to be looser fitting, and a bit shorter than regular pants. Also, there are no waist strings - the pants are held up solely by the elastic waist band.
