I like to wear gaiters when I run trails - keeps debris out of my shoes. I bought these as they were higher than others, however they just didn’t fit my Hoka Trail sneakers. The strap that runs underneath would not stay in place when I tried them on in the house so they definitely wouldn’t do on the trail. I think they would be great for a hiking shoe perhaps with a better heel to hold the strap in place. I really liked them and if I was a hiker I would definitely keep them.
