With a fresh design aesthetic and recycled construction, the highly packable Microlight Alpine Jacket is the go-to system for rapid warmth when the temperature drops.
The redesigned Microlight Alpine Jacket takes the versatile, easy-pack insulation of the established classic and dials in some intelligent new upgrades. It features a combination of zoned micro and nano baffles to increase core warmth without inflating weight or bulk - and the jacket’s ethical credentials are now equally sound. With 30D Pertex® Quantum ripstop nylon, as well as GRS-certified, 700 fill power P.U.R.E recycled hydrophobic down, the Microlight Alpine Jacket now features fully recycled shell, insulation and lining. Practical and user-friendly, both as an everyday jacket and as a mountain layer, additional features include three harness-compatible pockets and a down-filled hood with stiffened peak.
With its refined styling, improved down distribution and ethical upgrades, the Microlight Alpine Jacket is the definitive multi-purpose down jacket.

I returned the jacket as it's fit is slightly on the small side and the hood is definitely not understated. The jacket appeared to be of high quality but just not for me.

n the sleeves and was a bit loose (baggy). I decided to keep it rather than dealing with the hassle of returning it since I planned on layering in colder temps.
My purpose for this jacket was snowboarding, hiking, urban use and this jacket is ideal for all of that.
My second purchase was a size MED and found that it fits better than the LARGE in all areas other than the lats (back) area. The jacket is tight when raising my arms which causes the sleeves to ride up and leave my wrists exposed to the elements. Having worn both sizes for awhile now, I prefer the LARGE. I like having the extra space especially when layering and overall is more comfortable.
The jacket is light and is warm considering the weight. I personally rate this jacket to -10C and any temps colder will require a fleece. The Pertex face fabric doesn't seem durable or robust but I've never had any issues.
Overall, this jacket is one of my favourites because it's so versatile. Looks good in urban settings and is great in various temperature ranges when worn in high intensity winter activities.

This jacket is light and very warm. The hood has a great design where you're able to close most of your face off from the wind. I rarely wear a hat now with the hood.

The quality of the jacket is very good. However, the fit is not what the sizing indicates. The fit is very loose in the torso area with sleeves that are on the long side. I found the pockets to be ideal in size and comfort.
