Patagonia created the 8L Atom Sling for rock climbers and urban adventurers wanting the functions of a backpack with a low-profile, ergonomically convenient tear-drop shape. It’s made of a 630D recycled/high-tenacity nylon blend that features a weather-resistant PU coating along with a durable water-repellent finish. The Atom's single-strap design allows it to be rotated for quick access to the zippered main compartment, which houses a padded tablet sleeve. The shoulder strap has a stretch mesh pocket on the chest/shoulder that’s designed to hold a phone. The pack exterior features compression straps that can manage loads like a yoga mat or spare coat. Patagonia also furnished the Atom Sling’s shoulder strap and back panel with moisture wicking 3-D spacer mesh padding.
