We find our kids can`t stand bucket hats. This is much better anyways. Perfect neck protection ( sun and bugs ! ) and the hats are nice and light. We bought in different colour variations for our kids and they were the best piece of gear we had on our recent trip to Costa Rica. I wear the adult version ( for which you can detach the neck guard ) around the house and for runs in the sun.

A must for kids

Size Medium is perfect for 4 year old child, but material is stretchy, so very forgiving. 
Lots of coverage for neck and face and very thin, so won’t be suffocating. Extremely light fabric, so kids will barely notice that they’re wearing it. Dries quickly, perfect for water activities.

Perfect Sun Cap for Summer

I got the orange version for my daughter as my son already had one. Now they can match and be protected from the sun when playing outside this summer. They find it comfortable and also easy to wash when it gets dirty or wet.

Effective sunhat

I ordered this hat after watching a video of a hiker I follow. He was wearing this hat and after some of the buggy hikes I’ve been on where bugs were actually flying into my ears, I knew I needed one as well.
It arrived within 2 weeks and it fits perfectly! I used the sizing chart and actually ordered a child’s medium because my head is so small. (Finding hats that fit has always need a challenge)
If I don’t need the side flaps, I can fold them up inside the hat. This hat is so light and cool, there were times I forgot I had it in. My old hat was a Tilly style and it was so hot and heavy that sometimes I would just suffer rather than wear it and have my head get all hot and sweaty, which of course, would ruin my hair. (Ladies, you know the struggle is real.)
The other thing I like is the brim. It isn’t too big and works well at protecting my eyes from the sun without impeding my vision.
The neutral beige colour is great because it goes with anything.
I wish I’d learned about this hat sooner, but I have it now and my hiking days are so much better with it. I would recommend this hat to everyone!

I bought an adult and the kids version of this hat. I do wish that the kids version cape was removable like the adult version. It provides lots of coverage and is light enough to be okay to wear at the beach.
