These are purpose-built for the 4-season athlete with a weather resistance, stretchy, breathable exterior, and amplified with a thermo-regulating ActiveTemp™ treatment on the waistband to regulate your body temperature and keep you cool, dry, and comfortable. Loaded with technical performance details, the Cirque II Pants have a harness-compatible waist, reinforced scuff guards, and wide enough to accommodate larger boots for mountaineering, ski touring, and snowshoeing.

nts in my opinion aren’t made to have lots of heavy layers underneath. The XL’s waist was too big but thanks to the velcro straps, I was able to cinch in the waist.
Note that there isn’t a built in gaiter with these pants. But the angles have an elastic cinch you can use. When I’m walking in the city (it’s windy) I often just wear these with my pair of runners to just help block the wind.
