This lightweight shell jacket is made for demanding alpine climbing but works perfectly for all-season mountaineering adventures, including trekking and ski touring.
We use A GORE-TEX® PRO fabric, the world-leading membrane for highly durable waterproofness (28,000mm), optimized breathability, and total windproofness.
The main fabric is a 3-layer GORE-TEX© PRO most breathable 40D with a 100% recycled nylon face. This lightweight yet durable PRO quality provides excellent breathability (RET less than 6) while still offering reliable, long-lasting weather protection.
The top hood, shoulders, and elbow panels are reinforced with a 3-layer 70Dx160D GORE-TEX® PRO with a 100% recycled nylon face to provide extra protection and durability.

Fit and Sizing
The jacket fits true to size, but some found the sleeves too long. The trim fit allows for layering underneath. The medium size accommodates a base and puffy layer, but those with broader shoulders may need to size up.

Quality and Design
The jacket is praised for its excellent quality and design. The Velcro cuffs and deep Napoleon-style pockets are well-liked features. The heavier Gore-Tex material effectively blocks wind. The longer back length is appreciated for outdoor activities.

Issues with Zipper
Some reviewers noted that the main zipper is stiff and can jam easily if not careful. This was a concern given the jacket's price point.

I chose this shell with its heavier GORTEX. It blocks the wind well. I went with a medium so I had room for layers underneath, I am 5’4”, 115lbs with longer than average arms. I tried a small but it was a bit tight through the shoulders. Read LessRead less about Great jacket, exactly what I wanted
it fits well. It is a trim fit, but I was able to layer a base and puffy layer underneath on my last ski night.
The one thing I don’t like is how stiff the main zipper is and, if you’re not careful, it jams quite easily. I’m hoping this is just a flaw and not a manufacturer defect on such an expensive jacket. Read LessRead less about I needed a new hard shell and didn’t
