This protective shell jacket is made for all-year mountaineering but works great for general outdoor activities all year, from trekking to ski touring.
The jacket is made in a premium GORE-TEX® fabric, and we use this because it is the world-leading membrane for durable waterproofness (28,000mm), optimized breathability (RET 9), and total windproofness.
The main fabric is a light, recycled 3-layer 30D mini-ripstop GORE-TEX® fabric that has a highly durable face material for its weight. In addition, the backer is smooth to prevent bulking and provides a pleasant hand touch.

suring that no moisture seeps in. While the medium size may run a tad roomy, it's perfect for layering and accommodating various body types. As a 5'10" man weighing 175lb, the medium size fits me comfortably. Whether I'm hiking, camping, or simply running errands, this shell jacket is my go-to choice for staying dry and stylish in any weather. Read LessRead less about This shell jacket is a must-have for
h of use in rainy/snowy winter conditions, I can say that it has absolutely lived up to the hype and more. The 30 denier fabric feels much sturdier than I expected, I even find it feels better than the 40 denier Beta LT from Arc’teryx. Size Large is so versatile for me (6’1”, ~180 lbs) as it can fit a fleece & an Atom LT under it comfortably, but isn’t too baggy over a shirt. The hood is easily adjusted with one pull and the sturdy brim keeps water out, while the long asymmetrical cuffs give great protection over the hands. The hems and StormHood have great coverage too. I’ve biked in heavy wet snow and the jacket only had minor wetting out under the pockets. I cannot comment on the long term durability and waterproofness of the jacket but I hope it holds up with regular care and reproofing. Super happy with my purchase and SUCH a good deal!
