I tried this boot hoping to add a light waterproof hiker but I needed a slightly bigger toe box. I wear size 13 Altra&#x27;s, and went 13.5 Ducan. Everything about this boot fit well but just needed an extra smidge on the side of the big toe. (I have a neuroma so anything touching the side of my big toe causes tingling). I was able to fit my custom orthotic as well. A well built boot, light. For most people needing a good size toe box, this boot will do. The rest of my foot is normal size and the boot fit well. I reached out to Mammut as I saw many posts online to size up, the .5 size up was perfect.

Great boot

I just purchased these but they are too small. The toe box is cramped and unlike my other boots (Lowa and Aku) which are size 9 1/2, although these are the same size, these are short and tight and I had to return them. I will reorder a half size larger.
I walk everyday on trails and live in a rainy place (3.3 meters of rain per year). I wanted a sturdy boot that was water proof and that had enough support to climb up and down the local mountain trails. Although weight is not a consideration for me, I was impressed by how light these boots are for their weight.

I have worn size 9 footwear for evermore. But when I received this boot it was on the small size and had to be exchanged for a 9.5. Hence the 4 star rating and not 5. The boot is really solid and will be good for medium loads on medium to slightly tricky terrains. Overall, very happy with the quality of the boot at this price point.

Solid boot, but be careful on sizing

Favorite hiking shoes so far! Love love love the design and also very comfortable! Might be great not only for hiking, also winter season! I was little worried what if it&#x27;s too chunky and heavy but not at all! It&#x27;s very light weight but has a great grip! Love this ducan model! Thanks for the great shoes and fast shipping!

Great Boot

The Ducan is perhaps the best balance of light weight and ruggedness. The boots have become my go to for most hikes now. The offset tongue really locks my foot in for the ultimate fit.

The shoes feels durable. Thats all the pros i can think of. The shoes are on the heavy side, granted its for hiking.
