The top is of good quality and fits true to size. It is of looser fit with sleeves that are long enough. The vents under the arms help keep one cooler as well as allowing the fabric to breathe. The material is quite thick which undoubtedly assists in guarding from the sun but makes it less appealing to wear on a hot day.
