This helmet is rated for ages 5+ but it is way too big for my 6.5 year old kid. I understand everyone needs a different fit/size but the sizing seems way off and there are no extra foam pads or a dial to adjust sizing. The description of the item says there is some kind of padding fit system which was misleading to me. We have the Giro scamp previously and was very happy with it but I am disappointed with this helmet. The look and quality seem nice but didn&#x27;t work for us.

The helmet is well made. I bought the size small but it&#x27;s too big for my small 3 year old. I am going to keep it and order the Scamp in a small and hope that it&#x27;s a better fit.

We bought this helmet for our 4 year old son and the helmet looks great. 

We selected the size small and the fit is a little lose. Unfortunately there is an extra set of pads they are the same size as the original already found in the helmet so they do not help with finding the right fit.
