Nice shirt. Can be warm during hot days. Need to order one size smaller than usual. Shirt is made larger than expected. Otherwise very nice shirt and nice colors.

Filson Shirt

If you are coming from your typical cotton or “poly” shirts you’ll be impressed by the weight (almost too thick for a muggy summer day but great the rest of the time) and consistent weave of that shirt’s fabric, and by the neatness of the sewing. The light grey version has a very light green tint to it, which keeps it from being another banal grey shirt. The cut is a compromise - depending on what you are looking for. As with other Filson shirts I own, this one is cut generously all around. That’s fine for their flannel shirts. But in a short sleeve, the ample cut and heavier fabric make the shirt feel slightly “oversized”. And I usually prefer a loose over an athletic fit.On the other hand, for those of you who still remember that shirts belong tucked “in” the pants and “under” a belt, you’ll appreciate that Filson shirts are some of the few left around cut with enough length that they do not pull out of your pants every time you raise an arm. For reference, I’m 5’ 11: and usually wear a medium size with tall torso and arm (34” - 35).
