To start, this is a cabin tent so it is purpose built for a large family group who needs lots of space where the weight or packed size of the tent aren&#x27;t an issue. If you are comparing this to any light weight tents or supremely water and wind resistent tents it isn&#x27;t apples to apples. I purchased this tent for my family of four to go camping in full comfort mode and it met the mark perfectly in this sense - our setup included a double high queen air mattress, a pack and play baby crib and a twin single high air mattress. With all this set up, there is still more than enough room to walk around and store four suitcases. The height is exceptional, I am nearly 2m tall and can stand fully everywhere, even the corners which is great for changing or having a dance party. There are some asteriks that need to be noted however; if you are going to buy this tent, you MUST go and purchase a general duty 10x12&#x27; poly tarp to use as a ground sheet, the tent base material is thin and I certainly wouldn&#x27;t trust it for rocky camp sites. Also, since this is a cabin tent, it catches alot of wind - so I would also recommend going to amazon and getting a set of heavy duty tent stakes to replace what is supplied. As an added level of comfort, we have a roll up plastic beach mat that we used as a rug in the tent (under the mattresses) that was excellent. The main con that I have with this tent is that the floor material (aside from being thin) isn&#x27;t the best for waterproofing - if rain is caught between your ground sheet and tent floor it will eventually soak through, as happened to us. I also purchased some gearaid seam sealant and sealed the seams in each corner as was suggested in a Youtube video. During our camping (PEI and Gros Morne National Parks) we enduring both extreme coastal winds (up to 70km/h in PEI) and heavy torrential rain (Gros Morne) and the tent sustained very well (even compared to the purpose built wind/rain tents). To me, this tent meets it purpose - being a large, heavy, convenient family tent, best used in nice weather; it can handle the rough stuff, but nowhere near as well as a MEC, Big Agnus or Marmot tent. But that isn&#x27;t a fair comparission, if you want to be bullet proof, get one of those, if you want to stand up to change or comfort a crying child, I would get this one. 

Pros: 
Huge, Comfortable, Great Gear Pockets, Power Ports on both sides, Double Doors, Managable to set up with one person, EXCELLENT BAG (everyhting fits, even the additional tarp and stakes you should buy). Poles are heavy, but decent quality.

Cons:
Need to buy a ground sheet, the floor is too thin (in my opinion), it&#x27;s very heavy (50lbs), need to buy additional pegs, windows only have toggles and hooks (not zippers, aside from the doors; this wasn&#x27;t an issue in the rain, but it is unusual), corner seams aren&#x27;t taped.

Parfaite pour famille

I received the tent last week for an upcoming camping trip next month, we decided to upgrade to a larger car camping tent now that we’re expecting a kid and have a larger dog we bring with us. I haven’t assembled the tent but I opened it to check everything was there and it looks good, definitely larger and heavier than our previous 3 man tent from MEC but we only ever car camp now so the weight and size isn’t a big deal. I’ve had Eureka! camping equipment before and always can rely on it so definitely excited to bring this tent out next month

Great Car Camping Tent

Great car camping tent for a family of four to six people. Two separate rooms for parents and children to have their own space. Separate entrances are ideal for accessing each room without having to step over family members. I’m 6’3” and this tent has more than enough space for me stand up and stretch. 

Only concern is the durability of the floor material. It seems like it won’t last as long as we’d like. Also there is no footprint provided, must purchase one separately.

The poles and design is great but the materials used for tent are really poor. I don’t think will survive a single camping trip.

Really thin weak material used for main tent.

I received the package with a big return order on my box. Not a very good sign to start. When I unpacked the package at the camping site, the frame definitely had wear sign on it (not brand new). The mesh is not in super good detail either. 
Other than that, the tent is a nice one, but I do worry about the thin bottom gets wear out quickly. 
If I have another choice, I may return this , but since I bring to camp and use it, I will leave it.

Returned Order?

Great tent first use was great. Only complaint was the zipper was a little tight to unzip in the top corner.

I knows says 8 but per usual there is room for maybe 3 cots. Definitely could put 8 if squeezed together and no cots . Nice and airy and high roof . Was a challenge to get up with1 person but I did it ! Will know next time when I set it up which poles go where . Very confusing directions ! All in all ii will give it 4 stars.
