On steep, icy, sections where you must carry your skis and for technical peak bagging, crampons are an absolute must for safety. Naturally, skimo athletes prefer not to carry around a single gram too much in order to be as fast and efficient as possible. The Cramp-In at a ultralight 260 grams integrates a new attachment system inspired by cycle sports, guaranteeing very fast transitions during a race. Using a special mechanism with hooks and the corresponding insert at the sole, the crampon is attached directly on the ski touring boot. Afterward, only a lever at the heel must be pushed up for the crampon to be secure, precise and reliably attached-without annoying straps or bails. Another practical feature: There is no difference between the left and right so you don’t have to ponder which is which when putting them on.
