Beautiful boots but sadly had to exchange as they were too long (even after ordering a 1/2 size smaller). Great for narrow feet!

I waited until I&#x27;d worn these in to write a review. It was no more painful than wearing in any other good quality pair of leather hiking boots...in fact on the 4th wear I was able to walk for an hour with no pain at all! That&#x27;s pretty quick. I wore them for about an hour each time and took a few days break in between each of the first few wears to avoid any cumulative pain/blistering. They are beautiful quality and now they feel super comfy and supportive. I&#x27;m excited to wear them in even more! Also, I originally ordered a half size down because so many reviews suggested this...but actually I ended up returning that pair and ordering my regular size, which fits perfectly. I think maybe the sizing issue people are having is width-based? I can&#x27;t speak for others I guess, but my feet are regular width, possibly on the wider side, so I found the half size down was touching the outside of my toe as opposed to the end of it. Altitude Sports returns and delivery process is SO quick, wow. Such a great service. It would be nicer though if when buying something for $400, there was no $10 return fee. But that&#x27;s probably still cheaper than gas would have been to return to store myself.

Gorgeous boots that are super comfy after wearing in

Bought these for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves them. Size runs just a little large, which is good for wearing thicker socks. Comes with a thicker and thinner pair of laces. At first glance it looks like the boot doesn&#x27;t come with insoles but they&#x27;re actually incorporated into the boot and not removable. You can add a separate insole if needed.

Not just good looking !

Quality boots that will last a lifetime. Will take some breaking in but will be worth it.

Quality

I’ve had many hiking boots, but this is my first pair of Danners and first pair of all leather. I did half size down. Not for wide feet. I usually take an EU 40 and a size 8.5 runner. At first they were a little snug, however after a few days of breaking them in they are great. I put my old insole in. They are not too stiff or heavy. A lot of money but they are one piece constuction, can be resoled, thick supple leather and good quality. I hope to have them for many years of hikes. PS - they look good!

Un grand classique, les Danner sont hyper rigides, mais sont vraiment faciles à enfiler et sont confortables, même dès les premières utilisations. Je les utilise même dans des conditions hivernales. Je recommande chaudement, je sens qu&#x27;elles feront partie de ma vie pour très longtemps.

Love the look and feel of this classic boot. Great quality, supportive and stylish. The only pit of these boots is the fit. They run large and would recommend sizing down (The 8 fits more like a 9). Also they are quite narrow and not a great fit for orthotics.

Timeless boot

Love Danner boots and got this for a present for someone. Didn’t realize these are for warm weather and not cold. The cold weather/waterproof version have Gore-Tex and can handle tough Canadian winters. The key is they need to say Clovis. That’s my only knock otherwise these are true to size to slightly big and need time to break in. Lovely looking but just please carry the Gore-Tex version soon.
