Columbia men’s NEWTON RIDGE Plus II Waterproof Hiking Boots are made for wet weather and variable terrain, with outer protection and inner comfort moving things along the trails. The upper is PU-coated leather, suede and mesh, rugged and element-shedding. Each step is cushioned with an energy-returning midsole. The non-marking traction outsole grips to wet surfaces. Sealed seams help keep the water outside.

In terms of fabric, these seem to have a bit of everything thrown into them. You have got the comfort and protection of PU leather, mixed in with the lightness – and style -of suede. The material definitely feels man made and I am a bit doubtful that they will withstand hard use.

Ce n'est pas nécessairement des bottes d'hiver avec une grosse isolation, mais elles demeurent correctes jusqu'à des températures d'environ -10 degrés. Confortable dès la première fois qu'on les utilise. Impossible de témoigner pour la durabilité à long terme, mais il s'agit d'un produit très appréciable dès le premier jour.
