The material has a good ‘stretch’ to it, the pockets are nice and deep and comfortable - the fit just was not right for me :( had to return.

I like the heft of the material of these shorts. They are solid but have some stretch and are very comfortable. I had to size up based on the purchase of another pair of Black Diamond shorts. The drawstring at the waist is not bulky and it allows for a nicely tailored fit.

These shorts are the perfect length if you are looking for something that is practical and allows for active wear. The straight and well fitting legs avoid looking matronly. On the contrary they are very flattering and comfortable on an athletic build. The fabric also is nice and light and has a subtle stretch. I ended up ordering more on the sale site from past season colours.

These shorts fit small. I ordered my normal size 8 and they were super tight so I returned them. The fabric and colour were great just the sizing is off.
