Taking a scientific approach, Atomic has analyzed the life cycle of the Backland skis to create a lower-impact design that upholds the highest performance standards. A reinterpretation of the original Backland SL, the Backland 86 SL W reduces material-based CO2 equivalent emissions by 30% (compared with the Backland 85, 2021) with more wood, less fiberglass, less resin, and waste-reducing sidewalls. All-Terrain Profile uses a natural-wood-to-fiberglass ratio to create a ski shape that adds all-round touring versatility. HRZN 3D features a uniquely beveled tip that increases float in powder.
