These pants are thicker than the Beta AR pants yet flexible. The protection between the feet is really heavy duty. Adjustment hooks on each side and the suspenders will make sure the pants stay in place when I open the leg zippers for air. 

These pants will stop the rain and wind. I will use them for snowshoeing and skiing.

La coupe arrière du pantalon est vraiment mal fait, les bretelles sont basse gamelles , clip pour attacher sont des petit crochet en metal vraiment pas friendly.Pour un pantalon de se niveau je suis déçu !

Pantalon Alpha AR Homme

Ceci est ma deuxième paire en 15ans. La qualité de construction est bien présente et le pantalon semble très résistant. Poche sur cuisse parfaite pour un arva et beaucoup d’ajustement possible (taille, jambe). Bien hâte de le tester à la prochaine tempête.

De la qualité

As soon as I got them on they felt like a glove. I had other goretex pants in the past, none of them where shaped to follow you body lines. Construction materials are top notch, even walking in the forest feels comfortable enough without the fear of tearing them up. They are a little bit noisy but unless you are a ninja in a top secret mission this won’t be a problem, let’s face it it’s a goretex hardshell. I’m 5’8” and 198lbs, size Large fits fine. The removable suspenders are a positive plus, you almost can feel them. These are alpine climbing focus so the lack of snow traps is not a big deal, I guess if you are looking for something more snow-sport specific you should check the Arcteryx BIB. I would buy them again but it’s Arteryx, they will last forever, or 10 ten years due to goretex.

Best hardshell pants ever!

Bought these as a big step up from marmot precip full zip for days when they will definitely get use, too big for just emergency use with a sunny forecast. Well made with good feature set, glad they come in tall sizes

Excellent pants

These pants fit amazingly well. I am 5&#x27;7&quot; 180 pounds and in great shape. I love the cut, colour and the suspenders were great. Very waterproof and breathable. Unfortunately the pants are unbelievably noisy. The only thing I can compare them to is a plastic tarp. When your wearing them it sounds like your wearing a plastic tarp on your legs. Swish swash, swish swash, swish swash. This is unbearable while trying to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Unfortunately due to this reason I have returned the pants. If they were not noisy they would be a 5 outta 5.

I spend at least 4 days per week in the winter either snowshoeing or skiing.. Have number of snow pants. . These are the most comfortable gore-Tex and technology designed but annoying noisy. Annoying enough to send back but the other features make it a keeper despite the noise and the price

As expected, another great product from Arc&#x27;teryx. I really like the full side zips. Makes it so easy to get on and off. Very well made like all the products I own from them.

Alpha AR pant

I bought the Arc&#x27;teryx Alpha Ar pants for Alpine climbing and general mountaineering. I have several other bibs and hard shell pants, but none with an internal leg wrap to minimize crampon snags. The N100p-X material is thick and burly, but not like my old Theta SV bibs that many complained was more like cardboard. This material has the strength and thickness, but remains supple. I love the full zips for quick layering in the field when needed. The suspenders are a nice touch when you&#x27;ll be wearing the pants all day. I haven&#x27;t had a chance to test the design when nature calls, but don&#x27;t see it being an issue. The grommet holes can be useful to eliminate pant cuff lifting, but almost bothersome to do it in snow. I think they should have incorporated a shoelace hook and a thin robust removable boot strap. Breathability seems good, but they have only been tested on a short climb in cold conditions. Absolutely Waterproof and windproof without question. The only issue may be with sizing. As a regular fit, the pants are fairly tight. I would say they are more of a trim fit. To layer these over a base layer and soft shell pants can be restrictive, unless your quite slim. I&#x27;m a 35 / 36 waist and always go with a size large and found these somewhat tight for a shell pant. No problem if your wearing just a base layer. Overall, I think these will be a great addition to my outdoor clothing gear. Is it worth the price ? For the intended purpose, Absolutely! But try and buy them when they&#x27;re on sale. Cheers
