I recently developed plantar facilities from too tight a soleus muscle from running, and was struggling. 
The zero drop wide toe box Altras are saving my feet (and mental health!).
I bought these for the gym, and they are great to get good purchase and form for squats and deadlifts among others. 
And the color is super fun!

Amazing grip on the trails, toe box fits like gloves (have wide feet)
It&#x27;s my first foray into zero drop shoes and it does take a while to get used to, and I definitely had to build the volume up gradually. I do feel that I&#x27;m activating finer muscles of my feet, and like the improved ground feedback compared to the maximalist shoes I&#x27;ve been wearing.

I’m replacing a worn out pair of trail runners made by another brand and my first impression of these shoes is great. I have a wider foot and love the ample toe box in a lightweight package. The flashy orange/maroon colours look great and get me pumped to get after it! After the first 50km or so, I am very happy with the purchase.

Best shows I have ever

I love this brand for the wider toe box. I bought these shoes for hiking and winter running and with the extra tread I think they will be ideal. I’m usually between size 7.5 and 8 in shoes and went for an 8 because I want to be able to wear thicker socks inside. I probably could have gotten away with the 7.5 because they seem larger than a standard 8. The colour is cute, the fabric is breathable, I’m happy!

I bought them as hicking shoes.
I normally wear 9 in all sorts of brands, and the 9 is still with this one perfect for me.
I had no problem getting used to the zero drop heel-to-toe, despite my late 50s.
The wide toe box was what I was looking for and I am very happy with it. 
I have high arch, wide forefoot.
I feared the shoe would have brought me reactivation of bunion discomfort, as it did the first time I wore them inside the house, but finalement everything is fine, it had nothing to do with it. I have only hicked a few hours with them, but without any disturbance, they breathe, are comfy, and the sole is sturdy enough so I am not disturbed by the rocks. I put a foot in a bit of mud and water, it came over the toes, I never felt it wet, it dried easily and almost seemed clean after (my model is blue with green sole, not orange as the photo)
I am very happy with them. I&#x27;ll be ready if I happen to start running again.
