AKU Slope

Excellent build quality and comfortable right out of the box. Perfect fit for a slightly wider foot. Boot laces lock the foot in place. Nice and light but does not feel cheap at all. I&#x27;m super happy with the quality on this boot. Would purchase again.

AKU Slope GTX boots

These would have been a great contender for my new pair of hikers but they&#x27;re too narrow for me. They&#x27;ll probably work well for someone with a normal to narrow foot. My first impressions were that these are very well constructed and excellent value – check them out if you&#x27;re in the market for a waterproof leather hiking boot.

Most worn boots: Lowa Renegade, Lowa Camino, Lowa Combat
Foot type: In between normal and wide at the toe, normal to narrow in the heel. 

Pro&#x27;s: Fit true to size. Slightly tighter toe-box than the Lowa&#x27;s but not unexpected or uncomfortable. Heel is excellent. Boots are light, comfortable out of the box, very nice mechanics while walking, styling is interesting, quality seems very good at first look. Price!

Con&#x27;s: Arch support is reduced compared to Lowa offerings. I haven&#x27;t done any long days yet so waiting to see how that plays out. New insoles may be in the future. 

Marketing nonsense: Aku have this listed as a suitable warm weather boot. It&#x27;s gortex lined, it&#x27;s not ideal for the heat. 

As a decade long Lowa fanboy this is my first foray into Aku. Impressed so far. This boot is shaping up to be a great 1-2 day boot with lighter loads.
