issues with cold hands but all, or most, of the insulation is at the top of the hand and though it works well does nothing to keep the palm or fingers warm after about 10-15 minutes outside. I also own Burton's [ak] Gore-Tex Guide gloves with Thermocore insulation and experienced the same inadequacies in warmth retention. Also, the mittens are defitinely made smaller than previous Burton gloves/mitts, of which I have/had several pairs in size LG, but they fit well enough to have kept. I can say, however, that the Gondy Mitts do keep you dry and always did so in slushy/raining conditions on the ski hill or snow blowing the driveway. All-in-all, I can't recommend these mitts, especially for the price, if you're someone who runs cool/cold. That said, if you don't have issues with cold hands/extremities and want a high quality, waterproof, leather mitten the Gondy Mitts could work out well.
